Question regarding chapter on Pastoral Care.

In chapter three, the discussion is on everyday pastoral care.  Now what he is talking about is not pastoral care in the sense of hospital visits or visiting shut-ins.  I think what the authors are talking about is discipleship of one another.  And what they are getting at is being intentional with our conversations with one another to talk about our walk with Christ and to encourage one another in our walk with Christ.  Do you find it easy or hard to speak with fellow believers on a spiritual level?  Would it feel forced or would it feel natural? What do you think of the authors statement that pastoral care (discipleship) is a lifelong (longterm) task with those with whom we are discipling?

Question 1

According to chapter 1, the authors feel that we are in a post Christian context.  How do you think this applies to Lewes, De.  Do you feel like the attraction model of church still applies in any way to our situation?  What do you glean from chapter 1 that might apply to us?
Ok elders, I set up this blog as a place to post questions and talk about the book, Everyday Church by Chester and Timmis
